The Green Card is an official validation issued by the Fédération Française de Golf (FFG).

It confirms that the player has acquired:

• the technical basics of golf,
• a solid understanding of the fundamental rules,
• knowledge of etiquette and safety principles on the course.

It allows players to access golf courses confidently, while respecting the game and fellow golfers.

For beginner golfers, the Green Card is a mandatory prerequisite before purchasing an official FFG golf licence.

It ensures that all players have the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviour to play safely and responsibly on a golf course.

Once the Green Card has been obtained, it becomes possible to:

• take out an official golf licence,
• pay green fees and access golf courses independently,
• enter first competitions,
• begin calculating an official handicap index.

The Green Card is designed for :

• occasional players wishing to become autonomous,
• anyone wanting to practise golf in a structured and safe environment.

No prior level is required. Progression takes place at your own pace, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere

Preparation for the Green Card at Dieppe-Pourville Golf Club is based on a progressive training programme supervised by qualified professionals.

The learning pathway includes:

• group or individual lessons,
• learning technical fundamentals (long game, short game, putting),
• on-course discovery under real playing conditions,
• acquisition of rules and golf etiquette.
